PotD: View from Bannan Hall

[cpg_imagefix:416]
Another series installment. Picture taken from Bannan Hall, third floor. I spoke today with an organizer of an environmental fundrazing event. Big news is I’ll be taking pictures officially for them on the 29th. Bonus is that I’ll be put on a list to be able to sit at a dinner table for this $150 a seat dinner. Icing on the cake is that the environmentalists will be having a vegan dinner. Maybe the biggest perk is that the top three pictures from the event will qualify for publication in San Jose Magazine. Oh my this should be a lot of fun ^^

PotD: Fridge Cleaning

[cpg_imagefix:351]
I know….I’ve been lax in my posting >< shame on me. But out of deference to my own exhaustedeness, I'm making it a quick one tonight. Cath, Mike, and I cleaned out the fridge this afternoon. It wasn't easy, but we got through it as a family. Next challenge, my drug habit :P

I’ll throw down a real post sometime soon…..promise ^^

Potd:Wright Bolt

Today’s picture is a bolt that adorns the side of the roof on the Marin Civic Center, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.

PotD: Daly North

[cpg_imagefix:349]
Part of my views from SCU series. 3rd floor of the Daly Science building, facing north. The shot is from the stairwell I found after shooting some shots from the hall. I turned around and noticed that there was a sign saying no roof access. I took this to be a bit of a dare so I started exploring for the door that DID have roof access. I found a fun looking door for maintenance ducts, but, sadly, the door for roof access was locked. Another time, maybe.

PotD: View from OCNR

[cpg_imagefix:348]
So I’ve got this sexy little notion in my head. Well a few. I’m going to take a series of shot from SCU buildings and grounds and make a series out of the views of SCU. Tonight the first installment! View from OCNR. This is from the third floor window, looking east. The other idea is to start shooting some of the California Missions. Starting with the San Jose Mission, curiously in Fremont. Should be a good three-hour ride…still brainstorming that one (and hoping for time and favorable weather ^^ )

PotD: Our Rain Today

Oh my how I do love the rain. We had a sudden down pour that was so engrossing I managed to burn the yams I was cooking while planting myself at our doorway snapping pictures. ^_^

PotD:

HWY 17 from Bascom. 11:30 pm. Next time I should go earlier when there’s more traffic and bring a tripod. At least it wasn’t raining too hard ^^.

PotD: The Western View

Rainy, sunny, rainy, sunny. Today, at least, the weather was fantastic. I took this shot from the roof of one of SCU’s parking structures (maybe the only structure, I don’t park there so I don’t know).

PotD: Fields Closed

Just thought this sign was funny. Actually…I took the shot because the lawn was a nice, pretty green…but looking at the picture later I though that a sign exclaiming FIELDS CLOSED when it was sitting on one field that was separated by any other field by at least three fences and a roadway. Made me chuckle on the inside Razz

PotD: Borders, Santana Row

Spent a stint chillin at Santana Row on those low chairs that fill the center space. I was struck by how much the Borders with its second story cafe resembled, in my mind at least, French cafes. Thought I’d click a few ^^
